Under the general supervision of the unit Director or designee the Clinical Coordinator assumes responsibility for the direction and coordination of all functions in the unit. In collaboration with other members of the management team, including physicians and ancillary services, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in unit. The Coordinator assists the unit director to develop, monitor, and analyze budgetary goals and outcomes. The coordinator is responsible for the supervision and/or coordination of all including coordination and communication of information relevant to the patient care process. The Clinical Coordinator also, assists director on patient care and strategic planning opportunities for improvement.
What you will do in this role:
REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
· Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
· Current BCLS certification
· Current NRP
· Current STABLE
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Other levels of nursing degrees acceptable with demonstrated years of experience.
· Critical thinking ability
· Coping skills to effectively deal with crisis and emergency situations
· Clear and concise communication
· Encouraging team-building efforts
PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
· Minimum of one (2) year of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit (experience may be substituted for an area of similar patient types).
· Leadership and management experience is highly desirable.
· RNC – NIC preferred
· Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transfer physician’s orders.
